SMS Program Terms

Adopt A Fish, a product of Wolf Lake LLC. Effective July 24, 2026.

Adopt A Fish sends conversational text messages (SMS/MMS) from your adopted virtual fish.

Opt-in: SMS is optional and is not required to create an account or adopt a fish. You opt in by checking the text-message box at signup, by turning texts on in Settings, or by replying START. We only text subscribers who have opted in.
Frequency: varies, up to 8 messages per day. Your fish sets its own schedule and only texts within the hours you choose in Settings.
Cost: message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier's plan.
Pictures: your fish may occasionally send you a picture of itself (MMS). If you send a picture or other media, we do not download, store, or process it — your fish can't open pictures you send.
Opt-out: text STOP at any time to stop all messages immediately, including anything already scheduled. Text START to resume. You can also pause from Settings on the website.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
